At Oakmont of Stockton, it is easy to become a little spoiled when it comes to fine dining. Our executive chef and staff of culinary professionals make every meal an experience. Not only has our culinary staff been hand-selected from some of the finest culinary schools and fine dining facilities, but they have also undergone the extensive training Oakmont Senior Living has become known for.
It is this training that takes professionals who specialize in quality of service and ensures that they can accommodate any special needs that may come up due to dietary restrictions or health concerns. Since our fine dining must be experienced firsthand we would like to invite you to have a meal with us, on us.

Meet Executive Chef Wat Sambath.
Chef Wat joined Oakmont with an impressive culinary background. With a culinary arts degree from San Joaquin Delta College Culinary Arts, he has held a number of positions at prestigious fine dining institutions across the country, including Monteverde at Oldstone Manor in New York. Wat was drawn to senior living because, “I wanted to be a part of an industry that is built on care and compassion. Oakmont allows me to apply my cooking skills in an environment where I am giving back by serving seniors nutritious, made to order meals.” Originally from Thailand, Wat has mastered Southeast Asian cuisine and is always trying new recipes, often taking special requests from the residents. He creates flavorful, delicious, made from scratch meals for our residents every single day and takes pride in being a part of a company that values fine dining.
